That’s why we give back $1 from every online sale to UN Women Australia projects that are empowering women and girls all over the world. A global champion for women and girls, UN Women is the United Nations entity responsible for promoting gender equality and female empowerment.
Sustainable and ethical sourcing
Our products are made with premium, hand selected Moso bamboo; a bamboo variety which is neither a food source nor a habitat for the Giant Panda.
No dyes or stains are used in Bamboo Traveller products so the colour will vary as bamboo is a natural product.
We’ve proudly set up our manufacturing operations in China. We work closely with our trusted partner to ensure fair wages and working conditions as a core value of our business.
Plastic-free and zero waste
Our products are plastic-free, BPA-free and zero waste.
All of our bamboo lids, covers and toothbrushes are 100% biodegradable, meaning they go back into the earth that created them!
Most bamboo toothbrushes have nylon bristles (that’s plastic – yuck!) which make the plastic problem worse. Our bristles are made of natural fibres so your whole toothbrush can go into the compost – better for you and the environment!
Our aluminium jars and glass jars are 100% recyclable and can be recycled forever while staying strong and durable! Did you know that nearly 75% of all aluminium ever produced is still in use today? And recycling glass uses 75% less energy than making new glass? Talk about sustainable!
Packaging
Our mailer boxes are made by an awesome Aussie company using recycled cardboard and shipped plastic-free so that our packaging materials can be recycled or composted at home.
We’re serious about sustainability so even our product boxes are 100% recyclable.
End-of-Life for all products
From the outset, our products are developed with their end of life in mind. We consider every part of the product and it’s packaging to ensure that they are fit for purpose. We also offer spare parts for our toothbrushes to extend the longevity of long term, high quality products. Each Bamboo Traveller product must be either:
> Long lasting and recyclable at their end of life.
> Biodegradable.
